(International) What forms or paperwork do I need to provide before applying to UCSB Summer Sessions as a visiting international student?

This will apply to you if you are:

1. A student outside of the United States who wishes to take Summer Sessions' courses on the UC Santa Barbara campus.

2. An international UCSB student returning to campus after an absence or after dismissal.

Prior to starting your application, please collect the following:

    • An official Confirmation of Financial Resources from your bank is required. We will need this to issue an I-20.
       
    • Proof of English proficiency: We will need a copy of your official test scores from either the TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS to measure your English ability level. The following are the minimum scores needed to apply to Summer Sessions:
    • 685 TOEIC
    • 6.5 IELTS
    • TOEFL
      • 213 Computer-based Test
      • 79 Internet-based Text
      • 550 Paper-based Test
