(ESP) What is the Early Start Program?

The Early Start Program (ESP) is for high school students who are looking to increase their competitiveness when applying to UC’s or other top universities in the nation. By taking two academic courses over a 6-week period, ESP provides students the opportunity to explore some of the university’s different disciplines and gain valuable college experience that many admissions offices, including UCSB's, take into account when considering a student’s entire application. ESP gives students a wide range of course options and opportunities while studying at UCSB. A minimum GPA of 3.3 is required for students wishing to enroll in the ESP.
